Ah ha! Finally! A post! A post with art! I recently acquired a Wacom Bamboo Pen and have been messing with it quite a bit. It isn't as sensitive as an Intuous (which is what I used at school), but it works for speeding up the coloring process.

First picture is a quick thing I did in Painter Lite and Photoshop Elements, the second is a much better Painter/Photoshop combo. Every so often I just re-design Sparty. Now that her mane is blue, I need to update my website banners. O.o

Ah, I've been drawing comic pages so I haven't had any post-able art lately. Except for this stuff, lol. First up! My (overdue) yearly animation project! I'm already slacking on it, of course. I intend to finish this up a bit. Lets see if animated gif's work here...

Round one! I don't have a lightboard or a graphics tablet so I was kind of guessing on this. A lot. I've also never done a walk cycle before. Naturally I choose something complex as my first adventure in more complex animation. XD It's far from perfect but I did better than I thought I was while I was drawing it. Went back and fixed some movement for round two...
Picture
Head and neck movement is almost there, the hands are much better and the tail isn't as spastic but it still isn't quite right. After this I called it quits for the night and decided to work on it more in the morning. But before I did that...
Picture
I did this! And discovered I needed that discarded frame after all! This originally went 9 frames, but the 9th frame was waaaay off so I pulled it out. I'm gonna go back and re-draw this from scratch, now that I have a better idea of what I'm doing.

I was doodling while watching The Great Mouse Detective the other night and... this happened somehow. I... yeah, I dunno. XD Original sketch was in my sketchbook; inked it (with a mouse (hurr hurr) in Manga Studio then colored it in Photoshop.

Inking practice. Amongst other things. >.>

Stay tuned. ;)

Heh, decided to combine a few of my favorite things. X)
Kagura makes a fine viking, yes she does. XD

Yosh! Things are finally moving forward! Spaz is kind of a pain - when I'm on a roll, he's a blast to draw, but if I'm off by even a little bit, I can't get everything to come together. That's part of why I've spent the summer/fall tweaking his character design - in addition to loosening up overall. Luckily, I can almost always draw Fable. Simple character designs FTW!

Imma try to get a few more character sheets up here in the coming weeks. I've got a couple of main characters that I actually haven't fully designed yet, heh heh. Not to mention environments and creatures and things.

A sketch and a finished piece. Yaaaaay! The sketch is just something silly a friend suggested, and the finished piece is Halloween fun with a couple of Rappy's characters. :3

Finally managed to do some sketches I was happy with. :) First one's inspiried by the first opening of Bleach, the second one Spaz and Fable are watchin' the X-Files in the dark.

Picked up the How to Train Your Dragon Double DVD pack today. Loooooove this movie! Also, the how to draw Toothless feature was most helpful.

Been trying to loosen up and draw more cartoony and fluid. This would be the first time in a looong time that I've been able to do it!

Lord Gryphon Claw snagged the 10,001st pageview on DeviantArt, and requested his gryphon character Fethos as an anthro doing something awesome and silly. This resulted. :D
